Picture3For the teams within SAP, the SAPPHIRE NOW journey started many months ago. I, along with many colleagues, have been steadily preparing for this world-class event that’s due to begin soon in Orlando on May 14th. Thankfully, our customer presenters, and certainly the attendees, don’t have to go through months of preparation like the team inside SAP before enjoying the finished, and somewhat polished, end result.

We’re pleased to invite you to attend this feature-packed, three-day event that will showcase our latest and coolest technology innovations, as well as  stimulating customer stories detailing their experiences and successes with SAP software solutions.

My small part in this huge event has been to look after the content that attendees will see in the EPM (that’s enterprise performance management) area in the Analytics Campus at the event. In fact, owing to some changes in the structure and format of SAPPHIRE NOW this year, you’ll not only see EPM content in the Analytics Campus, but also in other areas. This will include the Finance Forum on Tuesday, May 14th, and the Public Services Forum on Thursday, May 16th.

The Forums, a new idea this year, will provide focused content for one full day on specific business or industry topics in dedicated areas at SAPPHIRE NOW. As an attendee of the event, you’ll need to plan your agenda carefully using the online agenda builder so that you can take advantage of all relevant sessions in the Forum areas. Remember though, you’ll also find specific solution-oriented sessions in the campus areas across the three days of the event, including those for Analytics (if EPM, GRC, or BI is your thing).

And what, you may ask, can you expect to see this year? Well, I can’t speak for all content owners, but from the SAP solutions for EPM perspective, I think we have a cracking line-up in terms of customer speakers, product demonstrations, microforums, and of course, our expert tables, where you’ll be able to chat with SAP experts in their respective solution areas.

You can find full details of the EPM content on the SAPPHIRE NOW website, but here’s a sample of some sessions you can expect to see:

·         Hewlett Packard’s experience implementing SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, powered by SAP HANA, on May 14th  at the Finance Forum

·         Citrix’s experience implementing its financial consolidation solution, on May 14th at the Finance Forum

·         A lively panel discussion on the subject of Finance Transformation with three SAP customers, on May 15th at the Analytics Campus

·         EPM demo sessions focusing on SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, powered by SAP HANA, mobile-ready EPM solutions or Close-to-Disclose

·         EPM microforum sessions with discussions about improving planning or close processes, transforming EPM processes, or focusing on managing execution for better outcomes

And much, much more!

With so much to see and hear, I have no doubt that your agendas will be full. But remember to save some time to drop by the SAP solutions for EPM demo stations. Come meet the team, say hello, or ask us any questions you may have.

I hope to see you there!
