IrfanIrfan Khan, SVP & GM Global Big Data, SAP, @i_kHANA

Irfan Khan is SVP & GM of SAP’s Global Big Data organization, where he has overall responsibility for SAP go-to-market functions across; Sales, portfolio strategy, GTM strategy, and Business development, as well as an extended leadership team of Marketing and Data science services experts. Mr Khan also leads the SAP Cross-Platform Strategy efforts, his organization works closely with the development teams to ensure customer needs are reflected within engineering plans across the entire SAP platform portfolio; Database, Mobile, Analytics and Big data solution.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Khan was SVP & CTO, SAP Database and Technology organization, which encompassed ownership of SAP’s database and data warehouse portfolio inclusive of the SAP HANA and Sybase business. During his tenure, the Database and Technology portfolio benefited from tremendous growth under his leadership.

Mr. Khan arrived at SAP through the acquisition of Sybase Inc. where he was Senior Vice President & CTO globally for Sybase, he spent approaching two decades in various executive leadership positions across; Engineering, Marketing and Sales functions. In 2010 Mr. Khan received the Infoworld CTO Top 25 Award and was named to the International Advisory Board of Cloud Expo.

Mr. Khan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science as well as a Master of Science degree in advanced computing from Kings College University of London in the United Kingdom.

 

HortonworksAri Zilka, CTO Hortonworks, @ikarzali

Ari has more than 20 years of software development expertise and a deep understanding of open source, enterprise software, and the execution required to build successful products. Ari was previously founder and CTO at Terracotta. Previously, Ari was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Accel Partners.

Before joining Accel, Ari was the Chief Architect at Walmart.com, where he led the innovation and development of the company’s new engineering initiatives. Prior to Walmart.com, Ari worked as a consultant at Sapient and at PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Ari holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering Computer Science as well as in Mechanical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley.

 

TimoTimo Elliott, SAP Innovation Evangelist, @timoelliott

Timo Elliott is an innovation evangelist and international conference speaker who presents to IT and business audiences around the world on the latest trends in information strategy and technology.

His popular Business Analytics blog at timoelliott.com tracks innovation in analytics and social media, including topics such as big data, collaborative decision-making, and social analytics.

A 22-year veteran of SAP BusinessObjects, Elliott works closely with SAP research and innovation centers around the world on new technology prototypes. His PowerPoint Twitter Tools lets presenters see and react to tweets in real time, embedded directly within their slides. He has a draft US patent in the area of augmented reality analytics.

Prior to Business Objects, Elliott was a computer consultant in Hong Kong and led analytics projects for Shell in New Zealand. He holds a first-class honors degree in Economics with Statistics from Bristol University, England.
