SNOW5The world around us is becoming increasingly more measurable, and data journalist David McCandless saw the beauty of information long ago. Join in on the “What Would You Viz?” photo contest and win a signed book from the #DataGenius himself.

The contest will run from May 5 – 7, kicking off at SAP’s annual SAPPHIRE NOW and ASUG Annual Conference in Orlando. Whether you’re an attendee or a fan of data visualization, all you need to do is:

  • Tweet a photo of something you want visualized to @SAPAnalytics
  • Include #SAPPHIRENOW and #sweeps

And that’s it – you’re entered to win a daily drawing for a signed copy of “Knowledge is Beautiful” by veteran data journalist and TED speaker David McCandless.

Get Creative with What You’d Like to See Visualized!

  • See a long line for coffee on a Tuesday morning? Take a photo and tell us how you’d be interested in seeing how it compares to a Monday morning.
  • Stuck at the airport? Capture a scenic shot of a runway and let us know how many flights you’ve seen delayed and which airport in the world sees the most delays.
  • Keeping track of your steps at the event? Tweet this: [Photo of smart watch and pedometer] I wonder which brands of smart watches have the most active and athletic owners! #sweeps #SAPPHIRENOW

Every tweet sent to @SAPAnalytics with #sweeps and #SAPPHIRENOW between May 5 – 7 PST will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a signed copy of “Knowledge is Beautiful” by David McCandless. There will be four winners daily, May 5, 6, and 7. Winners will be chosen at random and contacted via direct message on Twitter at the end of each day to arrange to pick up their prize.
