A few months ago in the run-up to SAPinsider Financials event in Las Vegas, I posted three  blogs (Vivint, Tennant, and JBS in case you missed them) that focused on the stories of some customers who were speaking at the event. As we approach SAPinsider Financials 2017 Amsterdam, I thought it would be a good idea to hear from some of the SAP customers who’ll be presenting there too, and learn why they’re planning to attend and what they’ll talk about. Follow this series of blogs to read what they have to say.

Let’s start with Peter Kováč of Adient, a global leader in automotive seating with locations around the world. A business centre director based in Slovakia, Peter offers us some insights into what he’ll be speaking about at SAPinsider in a few weeks’ time:

The Customer Speaks

Please tell me a little bit about your project and the SAP software you’ll be talking about at the SAPinsider conference.

My projects are about SAP automations in the Accounts Payable process, which enabled automated or semi-automated handling of supplier invoices, approvals, or payments. Both business people in production plants and business center accountants benefited from these enhancements by less manual intervention and the company benefited by lower costs.

What was the biggest lesson you learned as you undertook your project?

Key lesson learned was to always have a good balance on the projects between IT representatives and finance people. Their cooperation and mutual understanding is key to the project success. Not one of these could make the projects successful on their own.

Without giving every detail away, can you describe one of the business impacts or benefits that you have experienced?

There were two biggest benefits: 1) cost savings for the company due to process automations 2) people freed up their time and could focus instead of transactional activities more on the analyses and other processes.

Thank you Peter, I’m really looking forward to hearing more about your project in Amsterdam!
