Timo Elliott, our global innovation evangelist, joined Byron Banks to showcase all of the SAPPHIRE NOW analytics news and announcements, including cloud innovations and the announcement of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.3. Here’s their recap:

On Tuesday, SAPPHIRE NOW kicked off with an electrifying keynote from SAP CEO Bill McDermott with this message —improve people’s lives through the power of business.

To help businesses make that happen, SAP is focusing on enabling them to become Intelligent Enterprises. If you think about it, you have to agree with Mike Flannagan when he says “analytics are the window into an Intelligent Enterprise.” Great analytics tools help you become a smarter, more agile, and innovative organization. That’s why the analytics announcements this year are about making it easier for you to get the insights you need to make better business decisions.

What is the best way to stay ahead of the digital transformation curve? Putting insights everywhere—including in front of the eyes of your business users. SAP Analytics Cloud is now integrated across SAP’s intelligent suite, including being the analytics engine for SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, and SAP Concur.

With the planning and analysis capabilities of SAP Analytics Cloud directly embedded within SAP S/4HANA Cloud, you can analyze, plan, and execute in one system, without jumping from tool to tool and getting lost in a spreadsheet mess.

Hybrid is a big focus for SAP Analytics, with more support for customers with data on premise, in the cloud, or both. The big news is that SAP is accounting a new product roadmap for SAP BusinessObjects BI, including service pack releases in 2018, and the release of SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.3 in 2019.

Wherever your data is, it should be used to bring more context to your insights. SAP announced 150 new cloud data connectors for SAP Analytics Cloud to applications Salesforce, NetSuite, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Marketo, and others.

Getting up and running quickly with analytics is becoming easier, with pre-built industry and line of business content available to download, for free, in SAP Analytics Cloud. After downloading the content, connect your data, and the dashboards are automatically populated and ready for you to explore for insights.

In addition to new integrations, using that data within SAP Analytics Cloud is now even easier with a new friendly user experience, with improved workflows, redesigned navigation and enhanced accessibility. And, you can now ask questions about your data as if you were asking your colleague. Search to Insight brings conversational intelligence and natural language query.

SAP Digital Boardroom partnered with Cisco to provide all-analytics on a beautiful all-in-one device. Cisco’s WebEx Board is a best-in-class collaboration tool, and now you can leverage your investment and bring SAP Digital Boardroom to share insights across your organization, with new collaborative markup features.
